If, after your big wedding day, you're planning to have your wedding dress photoshoot under the Dominican Republic sea, here are some tips to keep in mind.
It's a good idea to follow a professional photographer's advice regarding location and timing, as they'll know which lighting is best for your photos.
In Punta Cana we have the sunrise at sea, but if you move further west-south of the island, the sun sets at sunset, over the Caribbean Sea.
It's also good to keep in mind when there are fewer tourists on the beach to conduct a moderately intimate photo shoot.
So once you've decided on the time and location, the next step is to prepare ahead of time to look fresh and with the style of those relaxed, already married couples!
Believe me, you can see the happiness on their faces!
Every couple has a style, even when it comes to their wedding attire. So, when doing the trash the dress photoshoot, if you're not wearing your ceremony attire, it's recommended that you both wear the same color. He should match his outfit with hers.
The light tones for both look great for photos.
Your wedding dress can get wet, covered in sand, and you can still enjoy it to the fullest, you won't regret it!
Everything has a solution in a very good dry cleaner, even if you rinse it with plenty of water, (depending on the dress) the sand comes off very easily, buuuut...if you don't want to wear your wedding dress, the one you used for your ceremony, it's good to have a plan B, another similar dress, in the white tone you like, knowing that you can get it wet without remorse and enjoy it without guilt!
About shoes...if you want you can forget about them!
Makeup and hair are equally important for girls. Wearing a relaxed, natural, and soft "beach" style doesn't mean neglecting to prepare your makeup and hair for the photo shoot.
Even skin, defined eyes, and a simple but natural pastel lip shade.
Loose or semi-updone hair so that it doesn't get in the way of your face in a breeze is also ideal.
Having a change of clothes can be creative, encouraging more photos from the session. You can have a change of "beach" clothes, also in light colors, a bikini, accessories, and a nice pair of shorts to match.
Everything counts, but don't burden yourself with things. Remember that you are the protagonists.
And most importantly...enjoy yourselves, the photographer will take care of the rest.
I'm sharing with you the Trash the Dress photoshoot I did with this beautiful couple a few days ago on a beach in Punta Cana.
Young and full of energy, we took the photos in Punta Cana-Bavaro, taking advantage of the light at its peak, at dawn.
They enjoyed the sand, the sea, the sun and each other.
